About the ArtistBeverly Brekke Bailey

My intent in creating fused glass jewelry is to make wearable art a part of people’s lives and to enhance their enjoyment of daily living. The subtle variations of colors , forms, textures, and designs within the fused glass jewelry result from each piece being handmade with colorful patterns of glass. I value creating jewelry of consistently high quality at affordable prices.

While living in Alaska, I learned to make pottery in classes and in individual instruction with a local potter. I studied pottery at the Metchosin Summer School of the Arts in British Columbia for three years. After moving to Madison, Wisconsin, I became fascinated with the parallel kiln firing process of creating dichroic fused glass jewelry. I took classes, workshops, and private instruction at the Vinery in Madison.

Currently, I am involved in several silversmithing classes at the Springfield Art Association. Over the past seven years, my jewelry has been sold in art galleries and selected art shows in Wisconsin and Illinois. Please contact me if you would like more information about any of the jewelry pieces featured.
